Tim Romain

Bottom End Feeder

Tim's interest in bass started when he was very young, after hearing a neighbor's Motown record-- he didn't know what low frequencey instrument that was, but he loved it! A couple of years later, when he saw a live band, he saw the guy playing a big 4-string quitar, and finally made the connection. In middle school, he asked his parents for a bass, because he was listening to a lot of funk and disco but his dad told him to learn guitar first, because he already had a nylon string guitar. Finally in high school, some friends of his had a rock band, and he got to lay his hands on a bass at age 16. He practiced over the summer, and got his first hand as a bassist that Fall, and never turned back. After playing about 1000 gigs in the Bay Area, he moved to Seattle in 1997.
